EX-PROVINCIAL PREMIERS DEAD (Australian, and N.Z. Press Association) (United Service) Reed. 9.5 a.m. WINNIPEG, Friday. Sir Hugh John MacDonald, a former Premier of Manitoba and a son of Sir John A. MacDonald, died to-day, at the age of 79. The death has also occurred of Sir Lomer Gouin, Lieutenant-Governor of Quebec, and formerly Premier of Quebec and Federal Minister of Justice.
