BRITAIN’S FINANCES British Official Wireless RUGBY, Thursday. The Exchequer returns have been issued. They show a revenue surplus | of £9,400,000 up to March 23 compared with a surplus of £2,200.000 cm March 16 One week’s revenue has still to be collected before the close of the cial year on Saturday. ’ The revenue for the year to March 23 amounted to £732,200 000 and ordinary expenditure, including sinking, fund to £722,700,000.
