To-dav THE Norwegian steamer Selje, of 6,598 tons, foundered I about 120 miles west of Port Philip Heads last night after a collision with the Kaituna. The latter vessel rescued the crew of the Selje. The Kaituna s bows were damaged and she wirelessed for assistance to enable her to reach port The Selie had a cargo of wheat valued at £ 75.000 A wireless message received at Melbourne from the Selje indicated that the vessel was in difficulties The words sinking fast were faintly heard. The message was obviously incomplete. The Selje. formerly known as the Halidiim > v . * m England in 1921 and was registered at Bergen.
