CLARA BOW’S NEW STORY
“THREE WEEK-ENDS” COMING A director cannot be expected to turn out sensational successes one after another in the motion picture field. There are too many factors entering in to make this a physical possibility. However, there is one director at the Paramount Studios in Hollywood who has never been known to "bobble” one during his term of service with the organisation and who has consistently turned out fine productions. Clarence Badger, director of Elinor Glvn's "Three "Week-ends,” Clara Bow s newest starring release, which will be i at the Plaza and Tivoli Theatres next Thursdav, is the director upon whom ' this recognition has been placed Out 'of 15 productions with which he has ! been associated, not one has been called poor by critics. . , Clara Bow and Elinor Glyn asked for his services during the filming of t "It" and then "Red Hair. two ou.- ! standing productions of recent releases. For the latter, lie was awarded a medal which signified second prize in the Paramount competition for directors. Badger considers "Three eek Ernds his best work.
