Fashions at Ellerslic With the memory of the gloomy skies of the early morning to daunt them, the many women who attended the opening of the Auckland Racing Club's autumn meeting at Ellertdie today had little encouragement to wear the many pretty modes they bad planned for Easter. But that does not mean that the feminine picture was a drab one-—not. hv any means. Colour was there in infinite variety—all the rich warm browns of autumn and a lavish sprinkling of vivid reds, greens and blue. Tailored suits and ensembles were most popular, accompanied by hat* of snugly-litting felt in gay shades.
