Te Aroha Club is Next on List
ATTRACTIVE PROGRAMME ENTRIES ON WEDNESDAY The next trotting fixture in the Auckland Province to claim attention is that of the Te Aroha Club which comes up for decision on Saturday, April 20. The To Aroha Trotting: Club, which i.s one of the popular oganisution in 1 the district, has made such good progress in the past that the executive this year decided upon a scheme of advancement by, firstly, increasing the stakes, and, secondly, decreasing the limits. With the exception of the Hot Springs Handicap, every event has been tightened up on an average of two seconds, while' that of the Novice Trot has been reduced from 3.51 to 3.45. An all-round prize increase is scheduled, the cup. which last year was valued at .£3lO, including a £SO trophy, being worth £365. Owners, trainers and the general public will appreciate the progressive policy adopted by the Te Aroha Club, whose ambitious move will no doubt be reflected successfully in the entry and acceptance lists, while the racing should prove the best ever witnessed on the local track. Entry Day All 1 . G. A. Bush, the enterprising secretary, will receive entries for all events on the attractive card up till 5 P-ni. on Wednesday, April 3. while for the convenience of Auckland enthusiasts. Blomfield and Co., High Street, will accept nominations. The card, which has been reviewed at. length in The Sun, cannot fail to appeal to the public as well as owners and trainers, and there is every reason to anticipate a successful fixture at Te Aroha next month.
