A novel notion with last-minute evening gowns is to make the upper part of one material and the lower part of something entirely different. Thus we have an excellent little dress, with a gold tissue bodice and an old-rose georgette skirt. The cross-over folds are draped to one hip, caught with a lacquered buckle, and allowed to cascade almost to the floor.
