A cheque for £5lO 15s 6d from the Auckland Electric-Power Board in full satisfaction of its liability for damage done to that portion of the Great South Road, which lies within the One Tree Hill Road Board’s district, was formally accepted by the Road Board at its meeting last evening. At the request of the One Tree Hill Domain Board, a donation of £SO toward the cost of erecting conveniences in the Domain was made, and it was decided to send a letter of appreciation to Mr. A. S. Bankart, concerning his gift of £l5O toward the total cost, of £3OO. The remaining £IOO is being donated by the Onehunga Borough Council and the Mt. Roskill Road Board, in sums of £SO each. Mr. K. W. Aimer was chosen as the board’s nominee for election to the Auckland Institute and Museum Executive. The election is to take place on April 36. A grant of £54 12s to the Mt. St. John Domain funds was authorised. Building permits valued at £2,697 have been issued during the past fortnight. This includes two dwellings amounting to £1,640, and two brick shops amounting to £645.
