BOYS BURIED IN SAND

FATAL GAME ON BEACH TUNNELLING UNDER MOUND (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 11.45 a.m. SYDNEY, To-day. A message from Kempsey states that two boys, aged 12, named Young and Kerrison, were buried alive at Crescent Head beach. The lads had dug a pit in the beach, and while they were scooping out the sand with their heads downwards the mould collapsed on top of them. A girl passing the spot saw the feet protruding, but when extricated the hoys were dead.
