Some said Henry Gilbert killed his wife, although the report was accidental death, and in the years that passed Henry Gilbert paid dearly for his bigotry, his intolerance and his pride. Almost too late he realised that the happiness he had denied his daughter might in some small measure be repaid even now. He hastened to make amends and his experiences are shown in ‘ Padlocked.” Pwex Beach’s story of to-dav’s morals, now at the Lyric Theatre. “The Sainted l>evil..” a story of Argentine cabaret life, is tfce second feature. This is one of the best pictures of the late Rudolph Valentino.
