BALLOT FOR DOCTORS

CHOOSING HONORARY STAFF MR. CASEMENT AICKEN RETIRES A ballot will be held this afternoon to determine who will be members of the honorary medical staff of the Auckland Hospital for the ensuing term. A great number of applications have come to hand, and will be considered by the board to-day. All those medical men who are at present members of the honorary staff have sought re-election, with the exception of Mr. Casement Aickin, the well-known Auckland surgeon, who announced his intention of retiring for private reasons at the end of last month.

The appointments will be made by ballot, after the qualifications of the various applicants have been considered by the board.
