ROYAL SHOWS “FORTUNE HUNTER”
Thß amusing Syd. Chaplin comedy, •‘The Fortune Hunter.” is now at the Royal Theatre. Kingsland. He plays the part of a younj, man who follows the advice of a former tramp friend and swoops down on a village with the full intention of winning the heart and the shekels of the 7-iohest girl in town. Adopting the respectability which gets him.in Wj* 1 tho most prominent people, he ntrigues the populace, is wooed bj all the ladies, including the bankers daughter and the fat waitress; gets accused of robbing his employer, father of the prettiest blonde ,n . a ? viU ®’ ,4 himself becoming what he meant to be and is confronted by the roughneck pal who scoffs at Syd’s love tor the poorest instead of the richest dame. Then follows pandemonium. "Two Red Roses.” the second feature, is a colourful romance of a t iennese cabaret dancer, starring Lame Haici.
