NOT EAU DE COLOGNE WORKS
What threatened to become an unpleasing and disturbing element in connection with the Thames trots on Saturday was remedied in good time, to the delight of the large army of patrons present. The trouble lay with the unsavoury aroma wafted to the course from some boiling-down works in the neighbourhood, but a cessation of operations had the effect of clearing the air, and also the glum looks from the faces of the multitude.
