FRONTIERSMEN MEET

AUCKLAND BRANCH OF LEGION

The monthly meeting of the Auckland Squadron of the Legion of Frontiersmen was presided over by Captain R. Gordon. It was reported that three new troops had been formed since the last me ting. These troops were under the command of Lieutenant W. Burney, Lieutenant D. Glanfield and Lieutenant W. Palmer. M.C., with Sergeant J. Crichton, V.C., as troop sergeant. A syllabus of training has been laid down for the new troops, and topography, signalling and mounted rifle training were going on. Reports from troop leaders on rifle shooting scores were left in the hands of Lieutenant Glanfield. Arrangements for the Anzac Day parade were reported to be well in hand.
