Mr. J. T. F. Mitchell, Auckland man ager and director of "Wright, Stepheti son arid Co., Ltd., stock and station agents and general merchants.

Born in Scotland, Mr. Mitchell came to New Zealand in 1900. He joined Wright, Stephenson’s Invercargill branch and gradually worked his way to the managerial chair. Mr. Mitchell is keenly interested in the development of the Auckland Province, especially from the viewpoint of the man of the land . At the recent annual meeting of the Auckland Metropolitan Agricultural and Pastoral Association he was elected to the position of president unopposed. He is also a director of the Challenge Phosphate Co. Between times Mr. Mitchell represents Sweden in the capacity of 'Vice-Consul.
