Round the Churches
The Rev. Charles Chandler will preach in the morning at St. Matthew’s, Wellesley Street, and in the evening Canon Grant Cowen will speak. Throughout the week services will be held in the evening to celebrate Easter and on Good Friday and Easter Day special services will be held. The morning service at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Parnell, will be taken by the Rt. Kcv. Bishop Anderson and in the evening the Rev. J. Eccleston will preach. Services will be held from Monday to Thursday and on Good Friday special devotions will be held. Harvest Festival will be celebrated at the Edendale Presbyterian Church. The Rev. W. Gilmour will speak both in the morning and in the evening. The Rev. J. Patison will preach at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. at the Somervell Presbyterian Church, Remuera. At the Methodist Central Mission, Airedale Street, to-morrow the Rev. C. G. Scrimgeour will preach in the morning. At the evening service in the Strand Theatre the Rev. J. F. Goldie will speak. The Progressive Church of Spiritualists, Newmarket, will hold a service at 7 p.m. to-morrow. The Rev. J. G. Hughes will reply to Fundamentalists at 7 p.m. at the Spiritual Scientists’ Church, Newton. | Services at the Grange Road Baptist i Church will be taken at 10 a.m. by | Miss Burnet, of Japan: at 11 a.m. by | Pastor Mall is. and at 7 p.m. by the ; Rev. A. S. Wilson. Tho morning service at St. John’s, Ponsonby Road, will be taken by the Rev. T. R. Wooloxal and in the evening the Rev. A. S. Mitchell will speak. The First Church of Christ. Scientist, will hold services in the Church Hall! , Svmonds Street, at 11 a.m. and at 7 1 p.m. j The Rev. J. A. Thompson will be the
speaker at the young men's brotherhood in the Y.M.C.A. at 4.15 p.m.
The International B-ible Students’ Association will hold a service in the Masonic Hall, Edinburgh Street, at 6.45 p.m.
