A special section for readers seeking information ov financial and commercial questions is included in these columns every Saturday. Names and addresses must be given in every instance , although not for ‘publication , and inquirers are requested to send in questions early in the week, addressed to the Commercial Editor THE SUN. •‘Mining,” (Devonport): The proposal is to try a new process, which the promoters claim will treat the ore profitably. Experience in the past makes us sceptical. At the best, it is only a long shot speculation. The second concern, with the scrip on to-day’s market, is considered a sound investment. “N.Z.8.” (Remuera): Yes, the scrip has sold at higher prices in the past. We do not favour it as an investment on the present market; the return is one of the lowest on the list and a review of past balance-sheets does not reveal reserves sufficient to justify an appreciable extra distribution to shareholdei’s in the near future. “Investor” (Cambridge): The future of the concern is considered to be bright, and the scrip is well worthy of consideration at that price. Every indication points to a higher market within the next six months.
