PAKEHA SAILS.—’ The Shaw, Suvili and Albion Company advises tliat the Pakeha sailed from Wellington this morning for London, via Montevideo and Rio de Janeiro.
THE MIDDLESEX .—The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Middlesex left Dunedin to-day for Nelson, Picton, and Wellington, in that order She Is now expected at "Wellington on April 2 and will sail finally from there on April 6 for London and Rotterdam, via. Panama and Curacao.
WAIPAHI TO RESUME. The Union Company’s Island steamer Waipahl, which is now laid up in the stream, is scheduled to resume in the Cook Islands fruit trade at the beginning of May. She is to be dispatched from Auckland for Rarotonga, Aitutaki and Mangaia on May
MAUNGANUI LEAVES SYDNEY.— The Union Company’s intercolonial steamer Maunganui left Sydney yesterday at 1 p.m. with passengers, mail and cargo for Auckland. The vessel is due on Tuesday morning and owing to the Easter holidays she is to sail on her return trip next Thursday, instead of her usual day, Friday.
TASMANIA’S MOVEMENTS. The Tasmania, which is loading under the auspices of the New Zealand Shipping Company, arrived at Lyttelton yesterday from Wanganui. The vessel is now expected at Wellington to-morrow, and will sail from that port next Wednesday for Napier, Gisborne and Auckland, to complete loading for New York, Halifax and West Coast of Great Britain.
COPTIC’S PROGRAMME. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advises that it has now been arranged for the Coptic to load at Picton, in addition to other ports. The vessel left New Plymouth yesterday afternoon for Wanganui, Lyttelton, Picton and Wellington. She is due at Wellington on April 5, and will sail finally from that port on April 9 for London.
CARGO FROM NEW YORK. —The New Zealand. Shipping Company has received cabled advice that the Wirral will now leave New York on April 6 with general cargo to discharge at Wellington, Auckland, Rockhampton, and other Australian ports. The Surrey is to sail from New York on April 26 with general cargo to discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and New Plymouth.
HERMINIUS AT NAPIER. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advises that the Herminius, which arrived at Napier on Thursday afternoon from Nelson, will next proceed to Wellington, where she is due next Wedensday, for further loading. The vessel wille leave "Wellington on March 30 for Bluff and Port Chalmers, and Is to sail finally from the Otago port on April 6.
PORT CURTIS REPORTS. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line’s steamer Port Curtis has reported by wireless that she will arrive f~om New York at seven o’clock to-morrow evening. The vessel has case oil and general merchandise for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. Cargo for Auckland will be unloaded at Queen’s Wharf, to the agency of Heather, Roberton, Ltd.
THE PORT FREMANTLE. The C. and D. Line motor-ship Port Fremantle arrived at Wellington on Thursday* morning from Wanganui for loading. She will leave there at noon on Sunday for Napier, from which port the vessel is due back at Wellington next Wednesday to fill up. The Port Fremantle is to sail finally' from Wellington next Thursday for Rotterdam, Hamburg and London, via Panama.
RARANGA TO LOAD. —The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company' advises that the Raranga is to commence loading at Auckland on March 29 for London .and West Coast of Great Britain. She will load also at New Plymouth, Wanganui, Napier, Auckland and Wellington. The vessel is due at Wellington on April 19, and will leave there finally' on April 24 for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool and Glasgow, via Montevideo.
TUT AN EK AI IN PORT. The Government steamer Tutanekai arrived from East Coast lighthouses yesterday afternoon and berthed at Central Wharf. The vessel is to be docked for cleaning and painting toward the middle of next week. After the work has been completed she will attend to the buoys and beacons in the Hauraki Gull". Later she will return to Auckland to load stores for the northern and west coast lighthouses.
MATAROA'S MOVEMENTS. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company' advises that an alteration has been made in the loading itinerary of the Mataroa. The vessel will not load at Opua and Picton as previously intended. She arrived at Auckland yesterday morning from Wellington, and will leave Auckland on April 2 for Wellington to fill up. The Mataroa is due back at Wellington on
April 4, and will sail finally from that port at 6 a.m. on April 13 for Southampton and London, via Panama.
WAIHEMO SAILING. The Union Company advises that the trans-Paciflc cargo steamer Waihemo is to be dispatched from Auckland at six o'clock this evening for Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney.
TUTANEKAI ARRIVES. The New Zealand Government lighthouse supply steamer Tutanekai, which arrived at Auckland yesterday afternoon from East Coast lights, is at Central Wharf. She is to dock at Auckland.
MAUI POMARE REPORTED. Spedding, Limited, lias been advised that the Government motor-ship Maui Pomare is now expected to return to Auckland at daylight next Thursday from Norfolk Island.
SILVER SHELL DUE TO-MORROW. —Radio advice received by the Shell Oil Company states that the oil-tanker Silver Shell is expected to arrive at Auckland at 7 a.m. to-morrow from Singapore. She will berth at the Western Wharf to unload the local portion of her bulk oil.
RONA REPORTS. —According to a radio message received by the Colonial Sugar Company, the steamer Rona is expected at Auckland at midnight from Suva. She berths to-morrow at 11 a.m. at Chelsea, and on Monday afternoon sails again for Sydney, where she completes her discharge.
TRONGATE DUE MONDAY. —Further radio message received by Spedding, Limited, states that the steamer Trongate is now expected to arrive at Auckland at two o'clock on Monday afternoon from Java, via Port Bowen. The vessel is bringing a cargo of raw sugar for discharge at Chelsea.
AELYBRYN WITH PHOSPHATES. — Due at Auckland on Monday from Nauru Island, the steamer Aelybryn will berth at the King's Wharf to unload the local portion of her phosphates under the agency of Henderson and Macfarlane. Later the vessel proceeds to Wanganui to complete discharge.
NIAGARA REPORTS. Eli route to Auckland from Vancouver, via ports, the Union Company’s R.M.S. Niagara left Suva at 1 p.m. yesterday for Auckland. She reports by wireless that she expects to arrive at Auckland at noon on Monday. The company’s local office advise that her departure for Sydney has been postponed from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Monday evening. The Niagara berths at Prince’s Wharf.
AMERICAN AND AUSTRALIAN LINE. —The New Zealand Shipping Company has received cable advice from their New York agents of the following amended sailings:— The Wirral, on April 6, for Wellington, Auckland, Rockhampton, Townsville, Cairns, Noumea. Rabaul. The Surrey, on April 26, for Auckland. Wellington, “ Lyttelton Dunedin, New Plymouth.
The City of Adelaide sailed from New York on Sunday, March 17.
LIVERPOOL SAILINGS. —The local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company has been advised of the following projected sailing from West of England ports for New Zealand: — The Kent leaves Liverpool on April lo for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Port Chalmers. , The Cumberland on May 11 for Auckland, Wellington Lyttelton, Timaru and Port Chalmers. ■ . KING MALCOLM AT KING’S. —The motor cargo steamer, King Malcolm, owned by the King Line, Ltd., of London, arrived in the stream yesterday morning and later berthed at King’s Wharf. She has a full cargo of basic slag, which she loaded at Antwerp. It is expected that she will discharge the
full amount at Auckland. Antwerp was cleared on January 28, and all went smoothly until when nearing the Azores she developed minor engine trouble, which necessitated putting in at Fayal, Azores, on February 3, for about 24 hours. Boisterous conditions and severe gales were experienced in the Atlantic, but after clearing the Panama Canal the vessel had a fine trip to Auckland. Captain D. H. Utting is in command of the King Malcolm, and he has with him the following officers: Chief officer, Mr. A. B. Dr ever; second officer, Mr. J». Traill; third officer, Mr. N. Scobie; chief en-
gineer, Mr. S. G. Adams; second engineer, Mr. E. Ferry; third engineer, Mr. J. Marr; fourth engineer, Mr. R. Nicholson; fifth engineer, Mr. J. Copeland; sixth engineer, Mr. G. Hearth; electrician, Mr. W. Bourdice; wireless operator, Mr. W. Kent. The vessel’s next movements arnot known, but it is expected she will leave Auckland next Tuesday or Wee y nesday.
