CLEVER MUSICIANS COMING TO AUCKLAND “I he sistez’ ai'tists, Misses Constance and Margrai-et Izai-d, will be heard in u. series of most delightful concerts commencing: on Tuesday, April 2. in the Town Hall Concert Chamber. The Montreal “Gazette” said of their concerts: “Sound musicianship was displayed; they have not only a fine technical equipment, but a goodly quality of imagination and feeling. Their playing was distinguished by a keen rhythmical sense, a purity of tone, a delicate grace, and a delightful spontaneous humour.” Miss Constance Izard is a violinist who has, within the past few years, made herself an honoured name in the records of fine players and Miss Margaret Izard as a ’cellist has been equally successful. “Ha Libre Belgique” says: “Last night’s two virtuosi proved their worth, the probity of their art and a perfect homogeniety, communion of thought and execution in their performances.” Included in each programme will be violin and ’cello solos, sonatas, also unaccompanied duets for violin and cello. Most interesting programmes have been arranged and' for all those who may wish to attend the whole series special facilities are offered. A season ticket (transferable) will be issued for the three concerts and students concessions will be given for both single and season tickets. Full particulars can he obtained at the box □ fhce.
