“THE PATSY”
AUCKLAND’S EASTER ATTRACTION “The Patsy,” the cheeriest of new comedies, a delightful play which is the rage of New York and London, is the next J. C. Williamson attraction for Auckland. It will open at His Alajesty's Theatre on Easter Saturday. “The Patsy” has been hailed everywhere overseas as the most successful comedy-drama in the past 20 years. Several new players will be introduced to Auckland in the “Patsy” company, notably Irene Homer, the charming little New York actress who has the title piece. Then there is Sam Wren, A. S. Byron, noted New York stars, Eileen Sparks, who was last seen in Auckland with Alaurice Afoscovitch. and Air. Brandon Peters, another New York actor who was seen here in “The Trial of Mary Dugan,” with Leon Gordon. The role of the mother will be taken by A 7 era Gerald, a \vell-known London actress. Only a limited number of performances can be staged of “The Patsy,” for which box plans will be opened at Lewis Eady’s on AVednesday morning next at 9 o’clock. A queue will be formed from S a.m.
