NOT FOR WELLINGTON
•patsy” Hendren will not be the i coach of the Wellington Cricket Asi sociation next season. Negotiations which have been proceeding between the association and Hendren have fallen through (.writes The Sun's Wellington correspondent). Mr. P. B„ Broad, chairman of the Wellington Association, said that the terms whi« hi Hendren asked in his cable to Wellington were too high and the matte* was closed. The local cricket authorities were under the impression that Hendren was willing to settle in New Zealand for some time, but his cables do not bear out this. It has been reported that Maurice Tate is willing to come to New Zealand, but the Wellington Association has made no move in the matter.
