DIRT TRACK IN GOOD ORDER MOTOR RACING ARRANGEMENTS Though Auckland has had a heavy rainfall, Mangere has escaped with few scattered showers and an inspec-y tion this morning showed that the dirt race-track was in excellent order for to-morrow’s motor race meeting. The programme will commence at 3 p.m., and it is antiiepated that Auckland will provide a huge audience tef witness the first venture at dirt racing in New Zealand. To-morrow’s —''■ramme will covet
events for touring as well as stripped and racing cars and motor-cycles. An added attraction will be a display of airplane stunting. Mrs. 11. Butch* r has presented a silver cup valued at 90 guineas for competition in the touring-car class. Mr. A. Grayson, president of the A.A.A., will declare the new track open. Loud-speakers will inform the spectators of results. There is it sealed road all the from the city either via Onehunga or Otahuhu. and cars will be able to the grounds so that their passengers can see the races without leaving their vehicles.
