Big Money In Milk From a statement made to the Wellington City Council, the milk department makes a profit in summer and a loss in winter, but the net profit is about £7,500. Half of this goes to wipe off the loss on buildings cleared away for the new site for the milk depot. All other charges on the site are to be met out of this year’s revenue. The council decided against paper containers and will retain bottles, arguments in favour of the latter being the stronger. It was stated that bottles last three times as long here as in New York and London.
