UNION BANK CHAIRMAN
HON. E. PARKER ELECTED
FORMERLY IN DOMINION (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) LONDON, Tuesday. The Hon. Edmund Parker has been elected chairman of the Union Bank of Australia. The Hon. Edmund Parker is chairman of Dalgety and Company, Ltd. He has been a director of the Union Bank of Australia for some time. He is also director of Spassky Copper Mine, Ltd.; the British anti Foreign Marine Insurance Compayn, Ltd.; and the East Affiance Company, Ltd.; and the East AfriMarch 2, 1857, he is the eighth son of the sixth Earl of Macclesfield. In ISB3 he married Miss Fanny Baldwin, daughter of Captain Baldwin, of Dunedin, New Zealand. He emigrated to the Dominion in 1881 and joined the firm of Dalgety and Company in Dunedin. He was manager of the firm for 17 years, and later superintendent of the New Zealand branches. He returned to England in 1898.
