HUNTLY TOWN BOARD
The ordinary meeting of the Hunt/ Town Board was held on Tuesdav, Mr. K George, chairman, presiding. The Railways Department advised that owing to the rise involved Cox’s crossing could not be opened for general traffic. but that a claim for demurrage on road metal for £9 16s would be foregone under the special circumstances. Consideration of a claim by Mr. J. E. Lowe, of Te Awamutu, for damages to his motor-car caused through a bad road was held over pending details. A resume of the recent municipal conference held was given by Mr. George, who represented the board at the conference. Cr. Shceran was appointed to the Finance Committee, vice Cr. Bailey on extended leave.
