EDUCATION BOARD SEAT

MRS. V. DONALDSON TO FILL VACANCY As the result of an election held on March 6. Mrs. V. Donaldson, of Wkangarei, has been elected to fill the vacancy on the Auckland District Education Board caused by the recent death ol*. Mr. J. D. McKenzie. Two nominations for the seat were received, that of Mrs. Donaldson and that of Mr. R. T. Wrathall, of Ma«igonut. Mrs. Donaldson polled 523 votes and Mr. Wrathall 232, there being 33 informals. Mrs. Donaldson will represent the North Ward of the rural area of the district.
