INTER-FACULTY MEETING
TWO RECORDS ESTABLISHED The Auckland University College held its annual Inter-faculty athletic championships at the Domain yesterday afternoon. The 100yds and 220yds championship, and also the 120yds hurdles championship were secured by O. Morgan, who raced splendidly, in the 120yds hurdles, Morgan established a university record. J. S. Watt won the long-distance events, breaking the existing record in the SSOyds chainpionship. A splendid finish was witnessed in the 440yds between B. B. Smith and P. C. Seven started. A splendid race. Smith won by a yard from Minns, who finished fast and beat McLeod by a foot. Time, 53sec. One Mile Championship.—J. S. Watt, 1; F. L. Witten, 2; F. Vallance and K. R. Whitburn, dead-heat, 3. Twelve started. Watt and Witten were always the leaders the former winning nicely by five yards. Time, 4min 42 3-ssec. IOOYds Handicap.—First heat: J. V. Nagle, 2yds, 1: H. K.
