BOY FALLS FROM LORRY

IN CRITICAL CONDITION

GIRL ALSO INJURED (From Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, Tuesday. Following a fall from a motor-lorry at Ngaruawahia on Sunday evening, Leon Colin Anthony Wilson, aged 11 years, a son of Mr. Walter Wilson, Meremere, received such severe injuries that his condition is regarded as critical. Mr. Wilson and a number of people, including several children, travelled by a motor-lorry to attend church at Ngaruawahia on Sunday evening. As the lorry was turning a corner the child Leon, who was standing behind the cab of the lorry, was thrown out. It was thought that a back wheel of the vehicle passed over the body of the child, for when picked up his chest was found to be severely crushed. Another child, Greta Cavanagh, was also thrown out of the lorry at the same time, and had two fingers injured.
