6,000 DANUBE DWELLERS RESCUED BY THE TROOPS WHEN ICE DAMS RIVER
(Australian and N.Z. Press Association) VIENNA, Tuesday. Six thousand inhabitants of areas on the banks of the Danube were threatened by floods. By means of pontoons and bridges of boats Czecho-Slovakian troops .rescued all of them. The floods were due to ice-dams blocking the river.
