TRANSPORT BOARD FACES HUGE BILL LEGAL AND EXPERT ADVICE The array of legal and other taler,, at the Transport Commission last ye* provided accounts over which j Transport Board choked a little ye . terday afternoon. The board was called upon to pay £ 1.635 in connection with the legal and ■ other expert services incurred by the ' outside local bodies. Previously p . hac * agreed to pay an account of some what over £I.OOO for the City Counoil’s side. There had been a discussion and some correspondence previously abou* the outside bodies’ accounts. Yesterday, Mr. A. J. Phelan said th» board had no right to accept such a large account without full details, p was admitted that there had been a lot of work at the time, but to accept the account holus-bolus was not right There should be details of the enor mous charges. The proceedings would have been longer and the costs greater if we had not taken the action we did to reduce the length of the sitting 3 the commission. The chariman, Mr. J.
