MAORI FEARED DROWNED
HORSE FOUND RIDERLESS
, Press Association GISBORNE, Tuesday. Tapimi Pauhamu, aged 18, of Ru&ttxria, is believed to have been drowned in the Waiapu River. He left Wheneaitua at 10 a.m. yesterday to ride to Rua-fcoria, and his horse was found near the Jtuatoria racecourse at mid-day yestexNday. A search has been continued since, but no sign of the missing youth has been found. Heavy rain has fallen on the coast, and the Waiapu River is running high.
