MR. P. G. PEARCE APPOINTED NEW INTERNAL AUDITOR WELLINGTON, Monday. Prior to his departure for the South to-day the Prime Minister, Sir Joseph Ward, announced the appointment of Mr. P. G. Pearce, inspector of the Public Service Commissioner’s Office, as treasurer to the Samoan Administration. Mr. Pearce will hold this position lor such period as may be required to reorganise the accounts. As internal auditor in Western Samoa, Mr. H. Gates, of the Wellington Audit Office, has been appointed. ; Both officers have had long experij cnco in the New Zealand public seri vice, and are members of the New | Zealand Society of Accountants.
