CHILD STRUCK BY TRAIN
THROWN CLEAR OF ENGINE Press Association NEW PLYMOUTH, Saturday. The young daughter of Mr. C. S. List was wheeling her doll in a. perambulator at the Kata Street crossing at Inglewood this afternoon when she walked in front of the 1.50 express from New Plymouth which was travelling at a high speed. The child was thrown clear into the cattle stop. She was greatly shaken and bruised but miraculously escaped severe injuries. The crossing is a notoriously dangerous one.
