STUDENTS PREPARE FOR “KING OF KAWAU”

Rehearsals are proceeding for “King of Kawau,” this year’s production by the Auckland University Students’ Association. It is a delightfully written musical comedy, the work of two young Aucklanders, and promises to be the most successful production of its kind ever staged by the students.

Mr. J. A. S. Coppard is the producer and Mdlle. Valeska is training the ballet. Miss Linda Murphy and Mr. Fryer Raisher will play two of the leading roles. Novel settings and lighting effects will be used, and an elaborate wardrobe is being prepared. With its local settings, topical verse and original theme, “King of Kawau” should prove to be first class entertainment.
