PETROL TANK ABLAZE

MAN SEVERELY BURNED FIRE DESTROYS GARAGE Press Association TE AWAMUTU, To-day. While George Morris was filling the petrol tank of a motor-truck at a garage last evening an electric lamp burst, causing the fumes to ignite. Mr. Morris was severely burned about the arms and legs, and the garag4 was levelled to the ground. The front of the truck was damaged apparently, beyond repair. The fire brigade arrived in time ti> confine the flames to the garage, and saved the adjoining buildings. The garage was uninsured and tliu truck was covered by insurance in the i Standard Office, the amount not being available.
