PRINCE EDWARD
A SOUND SYNCHRONISED FILM Auckland will have another opportunity of hearing the “Kinaplione” sound synchronised film at the Prince Edward Theatre this evening, when the locally-made farce-comedy, “A Daughter of Auckland.” will be presented with synchronised singing sequences by Hildred Graham and Arthur Lord. “A Daughter of Auckland” is an enjoyable story of a very modern young flapper who, after dealing in her own way with a reformer from Southland is the apex of an eternal triangle between two Auckland youths, one of them a newspaper reporter. The familiar backgrounds make the film all the more interesting. A double feature programme will be screened in support of this novelty, and will include ‘The Luck of the Navy,” a fascinating story of naval life during the war, also “Do Your Duty,” a happy comedy-drama of a policeman’s life, starring Charlie Murray.
