BOYS AS FARMERS
SCHEME DISCUSSED AT HASTINGS Press Association HASTINGS, To-day. At a meeting last evening of boys and others interested in the proposed scheme of employment of boys on farms, Air. F. W. Rowley, secretary of the Labour Department, delivered an address explaining the details. At the conclusion of the meeting it was resolved to urge the Government at the earliest opportunity to make provision for assisting boys to acquire land after they had become qualified farmers under an apprenticeship scheme.
