AUCKLANDER’S BEQUESTS Under the terms of the will of the late Aliss Charlotte AI. AlcLachlan, who died at her home in Grafton Road on Thursday at the age of S 3, St. Mattliew’s Anglican Church, St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, and the Leslie Presbyterian Orphanage will benefit to the extent of £1,700. The will provides for £1,400 to St. Andrew’s Church, and sums of £IOO each to St. Matthew’s Church, the Leslie Orphanage and the Maori Mission administered by St. Andrew’s Church. Aliss AlcLachlan was born at Cornwallis and lived in Auckland all her life. For many years she lived in Grafton, where she was well known. She was a regular church attender. A brother of Aliss AlcLachlan. the late John AlcLachlan, gave Cornwallis Park to the citizens of Auckland.
