OTAHUHU BOROUGH COUNCIL
A donation of 4315 to the Otahubu Public Library was made by the Otahuhit Borough Council at its meeting evening. The clerk was instructed to advise *■ number of petitioners that a light is to be erected in Hall s Avenue immediately. A petition was received, signed by 38rate payers, objecting to the purchase the council of the Otahuliu public nanThe list of objectors, together with tne formal application for permission to P^ a . r fi the proposal before the ratepayers, *- ! be forwarded to the Local Bodies’ Government Loans Board. It was agreed to support the Otahuhu Business Men's Association in its endeavour to hive the Otaliuhu f.lephMi® district linked up with the Aucklana automatic telephone system. On the motion of Or. Hall, it ■was decided to again place before the Minister of Railways the urgent necessity of ’* ing an overhead bridge at the level crossing.
