Even Card for Opunake’s One Day
PARTAGA AND THE CUP With so many more important racing and trotting meetings on to-mor-row, there will not be a great deal of outside interest in the doings at the one-day fixture of the Opunake Club at Pihama, Taranaki. Fields have fined down considerably, and they will be small throughout the day, an unusual state of affairs for this gathering. The following will probably come in for keen support in their engagements:— Opunake Hurdles: ROYAL ACRE and GLENGARIFF. Maiden Plate: ANNOYER and FORT ALICE. Railway Hack Handicap: TEN ACRE and CALAMINE. Opunake Cup: PARTAGA and MENDIP. Electric Handicap: AIRWAY and FLYING BINGE. St. Patrick’s Handicap: BENZORA and RIDGEMOUNT. President’s Handicap: GASNAPPER and KAWHAKINA. Farewell Handicap: COOL MINT and FLYING BINGE. The acceptances are as follow:
