FARMERS SUGGEST SALE

LEVIN EXPERIMENTAL FARM Press Association LEVIN, To-day. A conference between representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, the County and Borough Councils, the Returned Soldiers’ and A. and P. Associations, the High School committee and tho Farmers’ Union at Levin last night discussed the proposed disposal of the central develop % ent farm. The Government authorised, by legislation last session, that this should be subdivided and leased.

A resolution favoured the disposal of 700 acres for farming purposes, but strongly urging that the area of 100 acres be reserved, half for educational PLirposes and half for manurial experiments, with a sufficient area allowed to insure the health of the camps now held at the farm.
