RICHMOND LEAGUE CLUB
SUCCESSFUL ANNUAL MEETING About 130 members were present at the annual meeting of the Richmond Rovers Rugby League Club last night. Mr. B. W. Davis presided. Messrs. G. Rhodes and F. Ellis, president and treasurer respectively of the Auckland Rugby League, were also present. The annual report showed that the club had nine teams, from school to senior thirteens, in the field last year. This season it is expected that the number will be increased to ten or eleven. Mr. Rhodes congratulated the club on the splendid progress it was making, and the enthusiasm shown by the players. The election of officers was as follows: —Patron. Mr. B. Davis., sen.: vicepatron. Mr. .T. Redwood, sen.: president. Mr. W. J. Holdsworth; vicepresidents, same as last year; committee given power to add: club chairman, Mr. B. W. Davis; vice-chairman, Mr. C. Flanagan; delegate to Auckland Rugby League. Mr. J. A. Redwood; delegate to junior management committee. Mr. A. Reavey: delegate to Primary School Board. Mr. X. Davis; secretary and treasurer, Mr. W. A. Swift; assistant-secretary. Mr. R. Jenkinson; auditor. Mr. J. A. Redwood: management committee, to consist ot a delegate elected by each team. Mr L. Binns. who has been associated with the club since its inception. and who has been for some seasons manager of the senior elected a life member in recognition of i.is services. Eulogistic reference was also made to the fact that Mr B. Davis, sen , had never missed a club meeting and very soldorn_rmssed_a match.
