PERSONAL. —Captain C. Elders arrived at Wellington from Sydney by the Maunganui on Tuesday, and is awaiting instructions at Wellington. Mr. J. M. Hood has completed holidays and is at present standing by at Wellington. Mr. I. B. Dymock has been appointed second officer of the Kamo, relieving Mr. .T. IT. Ibbotson, who has transferred to the Iviwi tea in a similar capacity, relieving Mr. D. W. Williams for holidays. Mr. J. B. Gibson lias relieved Mr. A. P. Cousin, second officer of the Kaponga, for holidays. KOMATA FOR WESTPORT.—The , local office of the Union Company has been advised that the steamer Komata leaves Wellington next Tuesday evening, or at noon on Wednesday for Westport. < OIL FROM SAN PEDRO.—The motortanker Storsten is scheduled to leave San Pedro on March 29 with bulk oil for discharge at Melbourne, Sydney and New j Zealand. SUVA - SYDNEY SERVICE.—Advice ! has been received by the local office of the Union Company that the passenger : steamer Moeraki leaves Suva on March 25, April 15, May 6, and three-weekly thereafter for Sydney. PLUME LEAVES SAN FRANCISCO.— The Vacuum Oil Company’s tanker Plume is reported to have cleared San Francisco last Monday with bulk oil for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland about April 1. MAUI POMARE FOR NORFOLK ISLAND.—Spedding, Ltd., advises that the Government motor-ship Maui Pomare is due at Auckland on Saturday from Wellington. She is to be dispatched from Auckland at three o’clock next Tuesday afternoon for Norfolk Island. TOFU A RETURNING.—Leaving Suva this afternoon for Auckland, the Union Company’s Island passenger steamer Tofua is due here next Monday. On Saturday, March 23, the vessel sails from Auckland for Fiji, Tonga, and Samoa, CORINTH 1C REPORTED.—The Shaw, Savill, and Albion liner Corinthic is reported to have reached Panama last Monday, en route from New Zealand to Southampton and London. She was despatched from Wellington on February 16. SYDNEY STEAMERS.—The Marama sails from Auckland at 3 p.m. to-morrow for Sydney, and the Maunganui from Wellington at the same time. The Ulimaroa leaves Sydney at noon to-morrow for Auckland. All the three vessels are due at their arrival ports next Tuesday morning. PORT PIRIE SAlLS.—Shortly after 10 o’clock last evening the C. and D Line’s steamer Port Pirie left Auckland for London Via Panama. Besides cargo the vessel took the following passengers:—Miss H. F. L. Olliver, Mr. A. .T. Jnglis. Mrs. E. Inglis, Mr. ,T. D. Wells, Mrs. G. M. Jaggs. Dr. C. Campbell is the medical officer. CARGO FROM PACIFIC COAST. —Due at Auckland to-morrow morning from the Pacific Coast, the American steamer Golden Forest will berth at the Central Wharf to unload the local portion of her cargo, under the agency of Henderson and Macfarlane, before proceeding to Wellington and Australia to complete. OTIRA REPORTS.—According to a radio message received by L. D. Nathan and Co., the Shaw, Savill, and Albion steamer Otira is expected to arrive in the stream at Auckland at daylight on Sunday from Liverpool. The vessel is bringing general cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington. Lyttelton, and Dunedin. RUAHINE SAILING. —At 4.30 o’clock this afternoon the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the liner Ruahine leaves Auckland for Tokomaru Bay, thence Napier. Lyttelton and Wellington, to fill up for Home. The vessel is scheduled to sail finally from Wellington on April 3 for Southampton and London, via Panama. HORORATA TO COMPLETE. —Advice lias been received by the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company that the steamer Hororata left Napier at 11.15 p.m. yesterday for Auckland, where she is due to-morrow morning. She will berth at the Queen’s Wharf to complete her loading, and is to sail finally from here on Wednesday next. March 20, at daylight, for London, via Panama. TASMANIA LOADING.—The New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Tasmania arrived at New Plymouth from Brisbane on Tuesday afternoon. The vessel is loading for New York, Halifax, Avonmouth, Glasgow, and Liverpool. She will also load at Wanganui. Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland. She is due at Auckland on April 5, and is to sail for New York five days later. PORT MELBOURNE DEPARTS.—The C. and D. Line's steamer Port Melbourne sailed from Auckland at 10.55 p.m. yesterday for London via Panama. The following passengers left with the vessel:— Mrs: S. A. Blackmore, Miss K. Le P. CANADIAN CONQUEROR TO-NIGHT. • —The local office of the Canadian National Steamships advises that the Canadian Conqueror is due in port at about six o’clock this evening.
