STRAIGHT ROAD BEST

A.A.A. AND DRURY DEVIATION

The question of the route of the Main South Road through Drury was again before the A.A.A. Council last evening. The Service Committee having received another deputation from Drury residents, expressed an opinion in favour of the straightest possible route, in view* of curves adding to expense both on roads and vehicles. The council was recommended to adopt this attitude. A minority of the council preferred to delay an expression of opinion, which meant taking sides with one faction or another in Drury. “Why not say what we mean?” asked Mr. George Henning. The council decided to favour the straight route.
