TRENTHAM GALLOPS SPRINTERS GO FAST SiLVER PAPER BRILLIANT Press Association WELLINGTON, To-day. There was a little more interest in the proceedings at Trentham this morning, which was fine and bright. The two-year-olds worked on the j straight of the course proper. Becky ; Sharp and Tea Queen ran four here I in 51, and Kilstar, Dresden China, Ex j Dono and Dullona, and Crash and Lady ; Rene also worked. On the course proper round the turn. First Money and Push ran four in 521. Sapient sprinted to the turn, and Hunting Day and Painting went four in 51. On the trial grass, which was in excellent order, Sunkissed beat Endorse over six in 1.16, the last five in 1.5, and the last three in 3S. Clarendon beat Matu easily over four in 50, and Roi De Val gave Footpad a start and beat him over seven in 1.31 a. Paganelli was 4 iven an easy task, ! ! and Rapine went two solid rounds with j . plenty of dash. I Millais sprintec" four in 49 4-5. '"'mart Travelling j Pink N and Macroom ran four | in 48, the three in 37, both going well. ! Silver Pap : dashed over four in 47. : Some watches made him go faster. ! Jov King was hard held over a cir- | cuit, and Mervette was in front of Pegj away over six in 1.16, the last four in j 50. Inferno ran an easy five in 1.6, and I Tresham beat Kiriana over six in 1.18. Glena Bay and Gala Day went seven in 1.31, a fair effort. Tonyist and Araemo sprinted half a mile in 50, and Valuation ran a good half in 49. Moa Bird did an easy seven furlongs, going particularly well. Quantum, picked up by Flare, covered five in 1.4, and Cimabue loafed over four in 53. Night Lad covered an easy four in 54 2-5, and Concentrate and Chief Singer went five in 1.3 L the last four in 49i. On the plough Royal Duke and Diana’s Lad did good strong work over six furlongs, and Toxeuma left seven behind in 1.33, going freely. Sudden Storm and Disorder went easily over a round. After breakfast Amor and Count Cavour, after a round on the plough, galloped a mile on the grass in 1.42 4-5, tho last half in 511. Amor was always in front. Courtlike was too good for General Assembly over four on the course proper in 51 4-5.
