TRAVELLERS CONFER

GOOD YEAR PREDICTED Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday. The annual conference of the United Commercial Travellers and Warehousemen’s Association was held •at Christchurch to-day. The Minister of Lands, the Hon. G. W. Forbes, predicted that land settlement would increase production, and that the current year would prove a good on© for rural industries and the effect would be felt in all other business. The election of officers resulted: President, Mr. A. Mitchell; treasurer, Mr. H. H. Wauchop; auditor, Mr. Bicknell; third member of the board of management of the accident and sickness insurance fund, Mr. W. A. Drake: members of board of management. New Zealand Traveller, Messrs. W. A. Drake, S. A. Orchard. It was decided to hold next year’s conference at Dunedin.
