NEW LYNN MAYORALTY

MR. TITCHENER TO STAND Air. W. L. Titchener, chairman of the New Lynn Town Board, agreed last evening to accept nomination as first Mayor of the newly-created Borough of New Lynn. A deputation, introduced by Air. W. Thomas, said that Air. Titchener would receive whole-hearted support. The speakers included Mr. C. Putts, representing the Progressive League, the Rev. IT. R. Jecks and Air. W. Crum, representing the local manufacturers. Air. Titchener agreed to nomination. As all the members of tlie board would be offering their services as councillors lie hoped the deputation would give them equal support.
