NEW FEATURES ON CIVIC SQUARE.—With an unbroken frontage of over 100 ft to Queen Street, this block will be an imposing feature of the Civic Square of the future. The buildings will be situated at the corner of Queen Street and Fergusson Street and are to be erected at a cost of about £70,000. The first section of the block from the right is Civic House, on which a start has already been made. The building will be occupied by Tanfield Potter. The second part of the block, for which tenders have been called, is to be known as the Fergusson Buildings and will have a second frontage of 70ft to Fergusson Street. Mr. A. Sinclair O’Connor is architect for both buildings, and Samuel Vaile and Sons, Ltd., are agents for the Fergusson Buildings.
