PERSONAL.—The White Star Line announces the following retirements under the company’s age limit:—Captain A. E. Jackson, of the lonic, and Captain W. H. Jones, of the Doric: Chief Engineer b. F. Ruddle, of the Homeric, and Chief Engineer H. Tudor, of the Baltic: Chief Steward S. H. Tweedle, of the Olympic. Captain Alexander E. Jackson has a record of over 30 years’ service, during which lie has made many voyages to New Zealand, and Captain W. H. Jones joined the White Star Line in 1903 from the Old Dominion Line. Chief Engineer Ruddle has served the company 44 years, and was on board the old Arabic when she was sunk by enemy action. He was awarded the 0.8. E. for his war services. Chief Steward Samuel M. Tweedie, of the Olympic, has served in that capacity in White Star liners for 2o years. ULIMAROA AT SYDNEY.—The Hud-dart-Parker steamer Uiimaroa arrived at Sydney from Wellington at 5.30 yesterday morning. The vessel is scheduled to sail on Friday, and is due at Auckland next PORT HOBART LEAVES PANAMA. —The C. and L>. Line lias been notified by cablegram that the Port Hobart left Panama last Friday, en route from Wellington to London. The vessel left Wellington on February 14. RUAPEHU AT SOUTHAMPTON.— Advice ■ received by the New Zealand Shipping Company states the liner Ruapehu reached Southampton from New Zealand last Monday. She was dispatched from Wellington on January d. NUCULA IN DOCK.—The Royal fuel auxiliary Nucula moved from Sheer-legs Wharf to the Calliope Dock, at 8.40 o clock this morning for cleaning and painting, preparatory to her projected trip to San Pedro, California, to take on fuel oil for the Admiralty tanks at Devonpoit. PORT PIRIE AND PORT MELBOURNE.—The Farmers' Co-op. Auctioneering Company advises that efforts are being made to dispatch both the C. and D. Line steamers Port. Pirie and Port Melbourne from Auckland at 10 o clock this evening for London, via Panama. MARAMA AND MAUNGANUI. The Marama and the Maunganui leave Auckland and Wellington respectively at three o’clock on Friday afternoon for Sydney. Both vessels are due at the New South Wales port next Tuesday morning. PORT NAPIER LEAVES PANAMA.— Cabled news has been received by the C. and D. Line that the Port Napier left Panama last Friday for Auckland, Wellington and New Plymouth, en route from London. The vessel is due at Auckland on March 30, and the Farmers’ Coop. and Auctioneering Company will act as the agents. TAHITI AT WELLINGTON.—The Royal Mail liner Tahiti reached Wellington from San Francisco, Papeete and Rarotonga yesterday morning, a day behind schedule. After landing passengers, mail and cargo for New; Zealand she is to resume her voyage to Sydney at 10 o’clock to-night. GOLDEN FOREST REPORTS.—According to a radio message received by Henderson and Macfarlane, the American steamer Golden Forest is expected to arrive in the stream at Auckland at daylight on Friday from Los Angeles. The vessel is bringing cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington and Australian ports.

TRONGATE FROM JAVA. The steamer Trongate, 3,979 tons, is reported to have left Java with raw sugar for Auckland. She is due about March 23. Spedding tnd Co. will act as local agents. WAIHEMO FROM PACIFIC COAST. — Due at Auckland on March 19 from the Pacific Coast ports, the local office of the Union Company advises that on completion of her discharge of her local cargo, the Waihemo proceeds to Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney to complete. EASTER TIME-TABLE. The local office of the Union Company advises that the Maunganul leaves Auckland on Thursday, March 28, for Sydney, and the Marama leaves Wellington on Friday, March 29, for the same port.

THE CANADIAN CONQUEROR. — The Canadian Conqueror left Wellington for Auckland at 10.45 yesterday morning and is due to-morrow evening. She will complete loading general cargo at this port, and is expected to sail for New York, Boston, and Montreal on Friday night.

PIPiRIKI DEPARTS. The Federal Line steamer Pipiriki left for Wellington, Wanganui and Napier yesterday afternoon to complete loading wool and general cargo for Dunkirk, London and Hull. She is to be dispatched from Napier for Dunkirk on March 21*

HORORATA DUE. The local Ofßce of the New Zealand Shipping Company advises the Hororata leaves Napier ac midnight to-night and is due at Auckland early on Friday morning. The vessel will complete loading at Auckland, and is to be dispatched for London next Wednesday. RANGITIKI CLEARED PANAMA.— The New Zealand Shipping Company has received advice that the new motor-ship Rangitilci cleared Panama last Thursday, in continuation of her voyage from London and Southampton. The vessel is now scheduled to reach Wellington on March 27 to land passengers and mail for New Zealand. The general merchandise cargo is for Lyttelton, Port Chalmers and Bluff. AO RAN GTS PASSENGERS.—In continuation of her voyage from Sydney, the Lnion Company’s R.M.M.S Aorangi left Auckland at 1.35 pan. yesterday for Suva, Honolulu, \ ictoria and Vancouver The following- passengers joined the vessel at Auckland:—
