INWARD GOODS

OLD SHED CLOSES ON MONDAY On Monday a change over will be made to the temporary inward goods shed and yards which have been erected on reclaimed land on the waterfront. The old inward goods shed opening on to The Strand will be closed and later demolished. At present the rails leading to it are in the way of the new station and hinder the work in progress.

The temporary inward goods shed will serve until the final change-over is made after the new station and yards are complete and ready for use. It stands on reclaimed land belonging to the Harbour Board and is reached from Quay Street.
